DMB legal expenses insurance –
Good and favourable to your rights
Our DMB legal expenses insurance covers all legal proceedings arising from disputes between tenants and landlords in connection with residential tenancies. As is generally the case with legal expenses insurance, you must observe a three-month waiting period as a new member. This begins when you register for legal expenses insurance – or when you join our association as a new member.
Payment of legal fees and court costs
This means that you will be granted cost protection if the dispute from which your lawsuit arises begins three months after you join. Since 1 January 2015, your DMB legal expenses insurance will then cover up to 20,000 euros per lawsuit for:
- the statutory fees of your own and the opposing lawyer
- the court costs (including any witness and expert witness fees)
As a member, you pay an excess of 200 euros. After four years of uninterrupted membership, we will pay the excess for you – your loyalty is worth it to us!
Do not instruct a lawyer without consulting us!
Come to us for advice at an early stage! This is the best way for us to protect your interests and avoid litigation if necessary. As a rule, legal expenses insurance will only cover you if you have sought advice from us before commencing legal proceedings. Only we can apply to the insurance company to cover the legal costs.
