Information on the membership fee

Before we welcome you as a member, we would like to draw your attention to a few important points. Because where rights are claimed, there are also obligations to fulfil. We have summarised the most important facts for you:

Anyone who is of legal age and recognises the objectives set out in Section 2 of the Articles of Association can become a member of the Tenants' Association. Please read the articles of association carefully. It contains all the benefits and obligations.
The annual membership fee is 99 euros and includes legal protection for tenants via DMB legal protection insurance. The fee must be paid pro rata on joining by 31 December of the year of joining. If you already have private legal expenses insurance for tenants, the annual premium is reduced to 75 euros. In this case, however, we require a copy of the policy of your legal expenses insurance including tenant's legal expenses insurance as well as a waiver signed by you, which you can obtain from our offices or download.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer legal expenses cover for commercial tenancy agreements and owner-occupiers of owner-occupied flats and homes.
The one-off admission fee of 20 euros must be paid on joining.

Please do not forget to pay your contributions on time!

Membership begins on the day we receive your declaration of membership and the first contribution has been paid. The punctual payment of contributions is a prerequisite for our work. Therefore, simply issue us with a SEPA direct debit mandate.
The contributions for the following years are always due on 1 January. However, if you issue us with a SEPA direct debit mandate, your account will not be debited until 1 February.

Achieving a lot with the tenants' association

Together, we take great care in solving your problems. We see every new membership as confirmation of our work. Your reasons for joining do not necessarily have to be for the sake of your pension. So don't be afraid to open the door if the reason is perhaps an unresolved legal case. We are fully committed to you. Come to us as early as possible with all your rental questions. After all, timely advice is often half the battle.

What makes us particularly happy is when you remain loyal to us even after the work is done. Above all, because we can successfully enforce claims as a strong community.

The special thing:
For every member you recruit, you will receive a credit of 15 euros to your contribution account. The only condition for this is that your own membership has not been cancelled. So feel free to mention us more often to your friends, acquaintances, colleagues or relatives.
