Call to Join the Demonstration: 
For Affordable Housing!

Affordable housing is becoming an increasing challenge for many people in Cologne. Rising rents, a shortage of housing and the loss of affordable apartments are placing a growing burden on tenants.
That is why a broad alliance of Cologne-based initiatives, associations, trade unions and political parties is calling for a demonstration for affordable housing on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
The focus is on demands for more affordable, social and non-profit housing as well as measures to counter the increasing displacement of residents from Cologne’s housing market.

The Cologne Tenants’ Association supports the call and invites its members as well as all interested residents of Cologne to take part in the demonstration.
